Interview with Choupette Lagerfeld

I recently had the opportunity to speak with cat dad Karl Lagerfeld's famed fashion feline Choupette.  Just as we expected Choupette is not only cute, white and fluffy but also tremendously intellectual about the fashion world.

Reggie's Bird: What are some of your favorite current trends?
Choupette: I don’t follow trends. My personal style is timeless!

Reggie's Bird: Who are some of your favorite designers?
Choupette: I am obligated to name Daddy Karl Lagerfeld of course, that’s a given! Daddy is quickly followed by Mommy Coco Chanel and the iconic (and not related to moi) Yves Saint Laurent.

Reggie's Bird: What are your top 3 favorite fashionable cities?
Choupette: Paris, Milan, and London

Reggie's Bird: What are some of your favorite fashion collaborations in recent years?
Choupette: The fast fashion market has been popularized by the likes of H&M and Target but this is hardly something new. Prior to the early 2000’s you had fashion houses like YSL launching Rive Gauche and Prada establishing Miu Miu - while not what we alike to “bridge” collections today, the public clamors for accessible high fashion. These lines achieve their mass consumption goal but at the end of the day, they aren’t about the art of fashion.

Reggie's Bird: Who is your favorite model of the moment?
Choupette: Daddy Karl Lagerfeld’s muses: Lily Allen, Cara Delevigne, Ines de La Fressange, Gemma Ward, Stella Tennant, Saskia de Brauw, and Freja Beha Erichsen.

Reggie's Bird: What's one fashion trend would you like to bring back in 2019? Choupette: Women’s gloves! Channeling timeless Jackie Kennedy style.
